Maybe when you've done 700 laps like one of the three in the 1st post you could ask ditchmyster for his comments again.
p.s do you have a youtube channel, still not see you're TOTB vids.

Ditch as much as you think you will learn it of a computer screen the reality is very very different with so many variables that you can not comprehend....We all know you like to have an `Oracle` opinion on everything but give it a rest before you dig a bigger hole than you made beating a ferarri in your rover oh and the sti beating wrx wagon because it has good brakes and a better ratio gearbox.
The ring is the ring....That`s what makes it the best track in the world!... Its a toll road and a race track but abides by the german road traffic act when incidents occur, Do you get yellow flags and marshalls on the M6 toll.....Peace out!

Fail to prepare, prepare to fail.
Here we go again with the WRX is **** STI is the best thing since sliced bread, in the real world you can have any car you like but it's only ever going to be as good as the guy behind the wheel, this is even more evident with high powered bikes.
FYI, I'd say well matched gear ratios and good brakes are extremely important, if you don't get that there's no point in me trying to explain why.
I think the video's speak for themselves, if people want to massage each others ego's then that's fine by me, the only one that's made sensible comments and explained himself well and shown himself in a decent light is the driver of the blue car, but he still won't be changing his driving style, I hope that continues to work out for him.
As for Dave, well I think his responses say all we need to know about him.
Liking the "Oracle" tag, shame someone else has it as their user name.
Peace out.

Well if practicing and learning tracks on a computer screen is good enough for F1 drivers then it's good enough for me, your right though it doesn't give you the sense of the undulations but like I said it does help you to learn the track and is a much better idea than going completely blind.

Personally I couldn't think of better people to be with on our first ring trip than the people we went with, Long time visitors with unbelievable knowledge of the track and many uneventful laps under their belts, over and out!
....and Rob, That was the quietest Nat was all weekend, lol

Ditchmyster, you try to convince people that the ring is just some other road in Germany and a great place for sightseeing then claim that you should prepare in a fashion not to dissimilar to f1 drivers.

failure to prepare lol.
I wasn't at the ring but I was in the totb team with Dave and Gaz and henry.
every one of the cars was prepared with no expense spared.
not a case of entering a road car and hoping for the best.
the fact all cars survived mechanically both events and nobody crashed either tells you something about the preparation involved.

I normally agree with your posts, but the fact the black car did not crash has nothing to do with preparation or skill... it was complete luck. Not having a go as there but for the grace of God go all of us, but I don't think it's a video to be lauded or even laughed at.... it could have been very serious if Lady Luck hadn't been smiling on all involved.
I mentioned Dave and Gaz,neither had an incident or breakage,I'd say down to preparation and sensible driving.
