Default MY96 White Classic Import for sale.

**********************SOLD**********************Wi th a heavy heart I’m putting MY96 Impreza WRX up for sale. I have owned the car since September last year and apart from a couple of niggles (will list them below) it’s been great.

Mileage is showing 83,000 kms although I have replaced the clocks due to a fault in the cluster. Import mileage 2008 was 41,000 kms.
Mot’d until August 2015
Taxed until feb 2015.

Car was imported in 2008 and I have every Mot since, along with some paper work for servicing, parts and the all important remap.

When I bought the car as always I get the lads in work to check it over and do a service for me. I was informed the gearbox was leaking slightly which wasn’t the best of starts but hey ho it’s an old car. So decision time as third was crunching ever so slightly too. Figure wise it was as cost effective to replace the gearbox, so on the phone to Matty from MB Developments who had a Version 4 Sti box and matching rear diff . So issue number two, cambelt. I guess not much of an issue but I’m so on the ball with belts as although it has been done (receipt below) I wanted for peace of mind to replace it. I wanted a Subaru spcaialist to carry out the work so after a thread on here ‘GroupB Motorsport’ in Queensferry did the job, and did it very well. I’m sure if you rang them and they remember the car he will tell you what it’s like.

So apart from the above and a couple of minor issues which I’ve had sorted its been spot on.

Now the spec of the car-

Wheels- 17” Team dynamics in Gloss Black with Khumo Ecsta tyres.
Black mud flaps.
Rear tints, although rear window film could do with getting replaced.
Kyb shocks with eibach springs.
Front strut brace
Aftermarket intercooler
Suede steering wheel.
Sti rear lights
Sti lower wishbones
440 Injectors
3 port boost solenoid
Walbro 255 fuel pump
2.5 bar map sensor.
VF-24 Turbo.
RCM induction kit
Turbo Blanket
Forge recirc dumpvalve
2.5” H&S decat exhaust.
White line ALK
22mm whiteline rear anti roll bar and solid drop links
4 pot callipers with Godspeed discs and standard Pagid pads
Braided lines with ATE Bluestuff fluid
Camber bolts front and rear with -1.5 negative camber
Front splitter.
Blitz boost gauge
Double din headunit.
Crystal headlights with clear side repeaters and indicators.
Black fog light covers.

The all important remap with reciept to prove.
Mapped 'mafless' by Dunacn at Racedynamix using ESL. Twin maps, 1.1 bar (never used) and one at 1.3 bar using higher octane fuel (shell). Ive only ever used the higher stuff.

Negatives, all cars have them.

Offside rear wheel is buckled and i do lose a bit of pressure over say two weeks, i check my pressures/oil/water every week so it's not concerned me massivly.

Paintwork is good, few dents, a bit of laquer peel off the front bumper but far from bad. I wash/polish the car 'Every' Sunday without fail. Perks of having a forecourt with access to a jetwash, valeting bay. All in all the car is in good condition for 18 years old!. Pictures below are of the paperwork i have and as i'm not in the car today i will upload good photos tomo. I have pictures on here but they are not of tomo. Oh and rust, will double check as it's something i would defibatly notice, but from what i can tell its clean.

So all in all its a good car, served me well and out of the four i've owned its been the best and the longest one i've kept. Any questions please ask and like i've said will upload photos tomo.

Based on the Wirral which is the otherside of sunny Liverpool (the posh part, ish).

Cambelt before i bought the car

Previous mot's

Current mot

alarm

Receipt for mapping. Before i bought the car i rang Duncan who remembered it.

Group photo

Apologies if i've missed something out, i'm in work and i have a feeling i will be busy tomo. hard to gauge a price but looking around i'm after £2495. Any questions feel free to ask

Dan.

Found the receipt for the cambelt change

Some pictures. Apologies they are not the best, i'm in work on my own so was in a bit of a rush. And apologies of the amount.

Couple of interior pics,

Rear quarters,

laquer peel on bumper

Side skrts could do with repainting, kind of bothered me but not enough to desperatly get them done. On reflection the car looks immaculate bar those.

Roof

Brakes/wheels

Cold start

Engine

General shots

Hope these are ok

Bit OT, but where did you get the splitter? I've given up finding a real one, and the two copies I've had so far are utter rubbish.

Cheers jim. I'm very suprised too. As it happens as allways it's driving spot on. If my replacement hadn't just turned up I'd probably keep it. I know very cliche (if that's how you spell it)
