MOT Failure - chip on windscreen.
I have an MOT due on 28th. Screen has a chip in it, only about 3-4mm accross. Is that a failure? - its right in my line of vision too.
I think its a fail if there is any crack over 10mm accross in the line of vision, but might be wrong. If its going to fail I will get a new screen on before it goes in.
Cheers.

My Ibiza passed with two ~5mm chips, and didn't get an advisory either. This is in NI where test center's are government run, and thus generally strict.

Last week Autoglass charged me a £10 compulsory excess that Direct Line are now apparently wanting for a windscreen repair.
I can understand why as it appears that in every car park in the land someone is offering free windscreen repair. Someone somewhere has to be paying for it, and it wasn't that long ago it couldn't be done. So the insurance companies must be paying out a fortune!
